Montgomery Center for Independent Living would like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, as well as at our Night Out at Mimi’s Cafe. Both events were huge successes.

MCIL congratulates Aisha Dunn, Lewis Gulley, and Clyde Holloway for completing their Master’s in Rehabilitation at Alabama State University. They were tremendous assets to our team.
MCIL welcomes new volunteers Susan and Jonathan. Both have provided oustanding support to our day to day affairs.
MCIL, along with several of its consumers, was present for the Alabama Assistive Technology Expo and Conference (ALATEC) held on the campus of Auburn University, May 19th - 20th. Consumers attended seminars and learned about the latest developments and products in assistive technology.
MCIL has assisted in helping previously homeless consumers find permanent housing.
As part of MCIL’s home modification program, Job Corps students are volunteering to build ramps at the homes of qualified consumers.
